Hi!  My name is Nikki.  I’m almost 4 months old and am living in a foster home with two adult dogs who are 40+ pounds.  I also play with lots of other dogs – both big and small.

I’m a very confident girl and love all dogs and people.  I fall in love with every kid, teenager and young person I meet.  Today, I met a great grandpa and fell in love with him too.

I like to be picked up and I will wrap my paws around your neck or your arm and just hug and hug and hug.

I also like to carry a stick around while I take a walk unless I’m sniffing around.  Sniffing is good fun too!  Oh and I can’t forget about the birds.  They are very interesting to watch!

I’m working on my potty training and I’m doing pretty darn good if I do say so myself!  I know how to sit and really like to get treats as rewards.  I get so excited I still jump on people, but I’m working on that too.  So much for a puppy to learn, but I’m smart!

I’m also crate trained.  I stay in a crate while my foster mom is working and go for a little walk every time she takes a break.  I also sleep all night in my kennel without a peep.

I’m trying new foods too.  I really like peanut butter in my bone.  I have one every morning after breakfast.  I thought apples were a little weird at first, but now I like them.  Sometimes I eat broccoli and baby carrots, but sometimes I just play with them.

If you are interested in adopting me, please complete an application on our website at www.projecthopearf.org.
