Thank you for applying to be one of our foster parent!  Without our foster homes we would not be able to save lives.

Our Adoption process usually takes approximately a week. We want to ensure that our animals get placed in the proper foster home, so please be patient and understand that we will need things in order to approve you.

1. Complete the application
2. Provide a valid ID. Applicants must Illinois residents OR live within 50 miles of GILBERTS, IL. and be 21 years or older OR own their own home.
3. Verify home ownership (property tax bill from the county website. this is public record, however. providing it helps to speed up the process.
4. If you rent, we will need a copy of your lease and landlord contact so we can verify pets are allowed and what the restrictions are
5. Utility bill mailed to home address
6. Veterinary reference and vet records of any current pets, or pets owned in the last 5 years.

Once your application is submitted, we will review it and then set up an to meet you, complete a home visit and meet all of the family. We will discuss your application and the animal applied for.
 

Our applications are processed on a first come, first served basis. HOWEVER, we will select the home that is the best fit for the dog.
